On Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Asst.Prof.Dr. Lazgin Abdi Jameel the president of the University of Zakho, and Dr. Lokman Abdulaziz the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering received Prof.Dr Kirmanj Gundi the lecturer of the Tennessee state university with a worm welcome.

Worth mentioning, an informal meeting was held between both sides, at the meeting they discuss about some important issues like: improving relations between the two universities, and also talked about future workshops and projects. At the end, they visit classrooms and workshop halls.
